We listen to you every step of the way, and by truly understanding your tastes and aspirations we style and plan a wedding as unique and individual as you. We promise to remain stylish, creative and innovative at all times, and we adore the challenge of delivering something special.
About us:
We are an approachable and professional team who live, breath and sleep weddings. We are meticulous and highly organised, as you might expect, but friendly and fun too. Through our expert communication skills, we are able to develop personal relationships with all our brides and grooms as we endeavour to fulfil their hopes and wishes and exceed their expectations.
Anouska Semp concentrates solely on styling and organising beautifully flawless weddings for the most discerning of clientele. We maintain the highest standards by working with only the very best suppliers – if we wouldn’t have them at our own weddings, we most certainly would not let them loose on yours.
We believe it is of paramount importance that our clients are able to contact their wedding planner at any given time, and you are given both office and mobile numbers from the very beginning. It is our policy to style and plan only a very small number of weddings each year meaning that you have our undivided attention.
How we work with you:
A wedding requires many hours of detailed and careful planning, and it is our intention as your wedding planner to let you have as much time as possible to enjoy your engagement without the stress and worries often involved in planning your own wedding. We work for you, using knowledge and expertise to find those people and services needed to match your style, aspirations and of course your budget. We ensure that every element comes together with style and efficiency. The flow, timing and execution of a wedding day are as important as the details themselves.
We have extensive experience of planning a vast array of different weddings, and offer expert direction at all stages. You are, however, always in full control and all decisions are made by you. We ensure that you always know what is happening, and when, and you are given plenty of notice when decisions need to be made. The planning will be as much fun as the day itself!
How does it work?
Consultation:
We begin by meeting with you to talk about your thoughts and plans so far, and to introduce you in more detail to our services and company philosophy. You will meet your personal wedding planner at this initial meeting, who will answer as many questions as you might have at this stage.
Following this meeting, and should you decide to proceed with our services, we then prepare a personal proposal which outlines our discussions so far, and which provides details of our commitment to you and also a detailed quotation for the level of service you require. The planning can then begin...
One of the first things we do next is ask you questions – lots of questions! We don’t just stop at asking you about the basics, but will grill you about your passions, your family traditions, style icons and even where you shop! The more we can find out about you, the better we can tailor our services.
Wedding planning:
Anouska Semp offers a fully bespoke service, perfectly tailored to meet the individual needs of her clients. Should you require complete coordination, then the next step in the process is for us to assist you in choosing your wedding venue and location.
With the location, style and timing of your wedding in place, we then start the actual design and planning process. We provide expert direction throughout, and make recommendations and suggestions for key suppliers. We are always happy to attend supplier meetings with you, but the decisions regarding who you wish to work with remain yours.
Although we will be working very closely together, we believe communication is critical and provide weekly updates via email, and have regular face-to-face meetings with you. We keep you up-to-date on what we are working on so that you can relax in the full knowledge that everything is in order.
We provide lots of style and design suggestions throughout the process to ensure that your vision has clarity and consistency, and that all of the details tie in to form a perfect whole. We also manage your budget to help keep it on track, making suggestions about best value and where, if needed, things can be cut back.
In the week before your wedding, we provide you and each supplier with a full supplier list, a detailed running order and everyone’s contact details. Whilst we will remain in full control of the coordination at this stage, it is important that each person involved in your wedding has as much information about the day as possible, and can therefore work efficiently as a team.
Your big day then arrives! We are there from the very start of the day to the very end, simply ensuring that it runs as clockwork. You, your friends and families will be expertly looked after with nothing more than having fun to worry about!
Our services and fees:
We don’t do ‘off the shelf’ simply because we value individuality. We strongly believe that every client is unique with his/her own personality and style, and so prefer to work on a bespoke basis, offering tailor-made services.
We don’t just plan your wedding, we style and design your whole celebration. Yes, we do all of the endless paperwork and running around, but we also engage with you to arrange a wedding which truly reflects your personality and uniqueness.
We also don’t cost a fortune – in fact we hope to save you a small one! Many suppliers and venues will try to offer us commission to encourage business. We don’t accept this and instead pass the discount straight on to you. We prefer to remain honest and act with integrity, only recommending those suppliers who we really believe are right for you and your wedding. Not only will you get the very best service from us but we will save you money too!
Of course, without knowing what you want us to do, it’s virtually impossible to detail our fees. However, we also appreciate that a general idea is better than nothing so we have listed the types of things we can do:
Full design and planning – as detailed above, we work with you from the very beginning. After an initial consultation, we then get to know you as much as possible before beginning the process. Once the venue and location are determined, we then provide expert direction and make recommendations for suppliers, attending meetings with you as required. We remain constantly in touch with you and you remain fully in control of all of the decisions. We fully coordinate the run-up to your big day, and are present on the actual day. Fees for this service are typically in the region of 10-15% of your overall budget.
Wedding supplier sourcing – Anouska Semp is also happy to provide a bespoke service to clients who may require help in only certain elements of their wedding. Working to your brief, we will use our extensive knowledge and contacts to present you with a small number of suppliers who meet your expectations, and will accompany you to meetings with your chosen two or three. Fees will be dependent upon the level of involvement required.
Wedding venue sourcing – we will work closely with you to find the venue and location that reflects your individual style whilst also ensuring that it is well-equipped to host your special celebration. We will enter a full consultation with you to understand your brief and gain insight into the feel of your day and any themes, before tapping into our extensive knowledge of venues to find you the right one. We will present you with a small number of suitable venues and will accompany you to visit them. Fees start at £300.
Wedding day management – if you have planned your wedding yourself, but would like the reassurance of having a professional present on the day to ensure that everything runs smoothly, a planner will be there to deal with any problems that may arise, giving you complete peace of mind. We will be with you from first thing in the morning to last thing at night, and will meet with you prior to your wedding day so that we can gain a clear understanding of your day and how you wish it to run. Fees for the service are in the region of £400.
Finishing touches – not only will you have an expert planner on hand on your wedding day, you will also effectively hand over your own planning in the weeks leading up to your day, leaving you to enjoy the exciting build-up without worrying why suppliers aren’t returning your phone calls and whether your seating plan will now work. We will completely take over at this point, chasing outstanding suppliers and guests and overseeing every last detail. You will still be very much in control and we will keep you updated at all stages to ensure the run-up and your big day run smoothly. Fees start at around £600.
Wedding styling – if you are just in need of inspiration or need help thinking through your colours, themes and how it will all work together, an expert planner will meet with you as necessary to provide expert direction and recommendations. We pride ourselves on innovation and creativity and always come up trumps! Fees will be dependent upon the level of involvement required.
